For so many months now, you ve bee stanley cup n considering a run for the Republican presidential nomination. Have you made a decision GOV. HOGAN: I have Bob, you know, I, I ju stanley cup st want to thank the people all across the country that have been encouraging me to consider running for president. I was flattered by that and I did give it serious consideration and I talked to people everywhere and I talked to my family. And it was a tough decision. But I ve decided that I will not be a candidate for the Republican nomination for president. I care very deeply about the country and my party. I think I ve been a voice of reason to try to get us back to a place where we have a more hopeful, positive vision for America. I think we ve made a difference and I don t plan on walking away. I m going to continue to stay involved in that fight for the soul of the Republican Party, but I m just not going to do it as a candidate for president. FAIRFIELD, Texas --A man suspected of killing a Texas state trooper during a traffic stop was taken into custody more than 100 miles away, authorities said Thursday night.The Harris County Sheriff s Office announced on Twitter that the suspect was apprehended in neighboring Waller County. The Texas Department of Public Safety and other la jordan w enforcement agencies had identified the suspect as Dabrett Black, 32, of Linsdale, Texas. Suspect is in the Waller County area. Shots have been fired in the area of Liendo Parkway/Wyat crocs t Chapel. Please avoid the area. Also avoid using 290 in Prairie View area. The suspect then fled. Hours after the shooting, the Waller County Sheriff s Office said the suspect s vehicle was spotted in Hempstead, about 110 miles south of Fairfield. The sheriff s office said on its Facebook page that shots were fired, but did not indicate who opened fire. The suspect was apprehended a short time later. KYTX-TV reported in July that Black was charged with evading arrest, reckless driving and aggravated assault against a public servant following a police chase in Smith County.
