ORLANDO, Fla. 鈥?Universal Orlando Resort is extending its closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. It originally planned to reopen at beginning of April. The resort will now remain closed through April 19.The closure affects Universal Studios Florida, Universal s Islands of A stanley taza dventure, Volcano Bay water park, Universal CityWalk Orlando and the resort s six Loews Hotels.Park official say the closure is being extended for the health and safety of our guests and team members. The announcement came the same day Orange County s Mayor issued a stay at home order for county residents starting Thursday night through April 9.BLOG: Latest coronavirus updatesGuests who booked hotel or resort packages can modify or cancel their reservations during the park closure period with no penalty or fee.Universal says all ticket purchases, hotel reservations and pack garrafa stanley ages purchased between March 4 and May 1 qualify for its Stress-Free booking policy.
